Yashili New Zealand Diary Company have built a brand new plant manufacturing high-quality, high-specification infant formula for the demanding and growing Chinese market. An opportunity now exists for a Shipping Supervisor to join our high-performance team.

Your role will see you managing the shipping functions for our plant and in particular you will be:

  • Managing the movement of raw materials, equipment and our finished products
  • Ensuring that the necessary documentation including online compliance has been produced
  • Coordinating and liaising with importing & exporting agencies, customs, suppliers and clients
  • Coordinating insurances for our importing & exporting activity
  • Keeping our team up-to-date with the legislation around importing & exporting
  • Compiling and reporting on movement activity & data

This is a pivotal role requiring our successful candidate to have the following attributes:

  • A demonstrated working knowledge of importing and exporting
  • Relevant work experience with at least 3 years in the procurement environment
  • The ability to plan ahead, solve problems and implement solutions quickly
  • An analytical mind with a focus on working logically & systematically
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and planning skills within a pressurized environment
  • A positive and pro-active attitude
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills along with being technology savvy

Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications with relevant qualifications in a related field.
