He Korero Mō te tūranga | About the Role
As Rangiura’s new Clinical Nurse Leader, you’ll take the lead in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for residents. This is a hands-on role that blends clinical leadership with the opportunity to shape service delivery and influence positive change.

You will support and develop a capable team, champion clinical excellence, and work closely with residents, their whānau, and allied health professionals. For the right person, this is a role where you can lead with purpose, strengthen care outcomes, and continue to grow your leadership career.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Providing visible, professional leadership to the nursing and care teams
  • Ensuring clinical care meets Health & Disability Services Standards and NZNC competencies
  • Building strong relationships with residents, whānau, GPs, and the wider care community
  • Embedding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi into everyday practice
  • Supporting and developing your team through mentoring, coaching, and training
  • Leading continuous improvement, audits, and reporting to maintain excellence
  • Promoting a warm, safe, and inclusive environment for everyone in our care

He Kōrero mōu | About You
You are an experienced Registered Nurse with a current APC who thrives on connection, teamwork, and leading others to deliver great care. You will need to bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams in aged residential care or a similar clinical environment
  • A demonstrated passion for person-centred, culturally responsive care
  • Strong organisational, communication, and mentoring skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the Health & Disability Commissioner Code of Rights
  • A calm, professional approach and the ability to lead with empathy and integrity
